Fangirls travel movie destinations

Movie-lovers Tiia Öhman and Satu Walden, who go by the name Fangirl Quest, set out on a great filmy adventure. They decided to travel the world to see where their favorite scenes were staged.

Girls use mobile phones and tablets to superimpose a snapshot of a famous movie scene into a real life setting. This way the viewer gets to see what was left behind the camera. They call their unique approach “sceneframing photography.”

“Visiting filming locations is the perfect way to see places you wouldn’t necessarily find in ordinary travel guides,” Fangirl Quest write on their website.

In 2014, Fangirl Quest crowdfunded a 7,500 mile roadtrip across North America. They got to visit cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and New York.

Now, Fangirl Quest is continuing their mission to bring their followers interesting, high quality content infused with whimsy. They don’t just post sceneframe photos on their site, but also include stories from the locations, reviews and lots of other fun stuff.

Here the trip starts:
