She is just 20 and shows all the signs of an independent, fearless woman. Zenith Irfan started her solo-journey through the Kashmir belt, that too on a motorcycle!

She rode various models of motorbike including Honda 125, Honda CD -70 and Suzuki GS-150. Zenith started her six-day long journey from Lahore on June 14th and completed it on June 20th in Kashmir, Pakistan.

Her blog on FB is called “”.

Read the excerpts from her interview with a Pakistani local newspaper.

Family support:

“My mother is a very liberal woman. In fact, she was the one who motivated and pushed me to ride a motorcycle.”

Social taboos:

“A social taboo is enforced on them (female motorcycle riders) by creating a sense of disgrace and shame. Being a Pakistani woman there are certain limitations. I have to calculate my speech and body language.”

Her future plan and mission:

“With my motorcycle adventures, I aim to elevate and encourage women to embrace their passions and goals, with open arms.”

“I will be funding mosques for necessary renovation and providing aid to the flood victims in Chitral.”

Looking at her pictures will tell you all about this gypsy-heart. Her pictures of riding bikes, sitting with locales, enjoying the river water and mountainous view is something we all want to experience someday.

*Sigh* Who wants to go on a road-trip like her? I certainly do.
