- March 9, 2016
On International Women’s Day, JWB took the opportunity to focus attention on the sexual health of women. We talk about women’s issues, menstruation, sex, but somewhere between these lines, we forget to acknowledge our sexual health.
After we met Dr. Saatiish Jhuntrraa and Dr. Viniita Jhuntrraa of Vivan Hospital, enquiring about women’s sexual health, and invited readers to ask questions on the same. Here are the answers to some of the questions you asked from the doctors.
How can sex life be enhanced using sex toys? Are they recommended?
Dr. Saatiish: Yes! Sex toys can increase arousal and rekindle relationships. It’s good to experiment with your sex life. However, there are some that can prove lethal, so one should be careful about the kind of sex toys they are purchasing.
I’ve heard that by consuming Pineapple, the flavor of the vaginal juices improves?
Dr. Saatiish: Well, that doesn’t happen, but Pineapple is a source of Vitamin C, so if she feels that’s helping her in any way, she can continue using it.
How long should an ideal foreplay last?
Dr. Saatiish: There’s no hard and fast rule about how long it should last. It completely depends upon the mood of partners. In fact, a lot of factors are involved. Whenever you feel you’re ready for the intercourse, you can stop with the foreplay.
How can I find my G-spot? Why do they call it the G-spot?
Dr. Saatiish: It is short for Grafenberg spot. Ernst Grafenberg was a Gynecologist who named it after himself. The G-spot is a controversial topic. Many doctors believe that the G-spot does not even exist. Don’t try to find the G-spot, you will get exhausted, concentrate on arousal and pleasure, and the overall culmination of sex.
How long does the effect of Viagra last? Is it harmful?
Dr. Saatiish: Viagra should be taken two hours before sex. The effect usually lasts for about twelve hours. But then again, it completely depends on the age of the person. Yes, it is safe, but should only be taken on prescription as it can prove harmful if you’re taking certain medicines, or have any medical problems.
