Yesterday, Sanjay Dutt, who was convicted under the Arms Act, finally returned home. He was received by his wife, Manyata, after which they paid a visit to his mother Nargis’ grave.

During his interaction with the media, he remembered his father and shared how his wife stood by his side through thick and thin. Below are the excerpts:

“Manyata is my strength. She is my pillar of strength. Whatever I earned in the jail, like a good husband I handed it to my wife.”

Dutt was assigned the cane work and making of paper bags. As revealed, he earned around Rs. 500 which he gave to his wifey!

Priya Dutt, Sanjay Dutt’s Sister: “It is a very emotional time for all of us. Our family’s 23-year-old ordeal ends today. I wish our father was here with us. Today will be chaotic; I don’t think we’ll manage to spend quiet time with him for a few days. He has been very strong, he has gone through what he had to go through sincerely. He has abided by the law right from the day one. He hasn’t complained at all. He is looking forward to getting back to work. I request the press to see that he’s done his time.”
