Know the actress of SRK’s upcoming movie Fan? Meet Waluscha De Sousa, a model-turned-actress, in her early thirties, is making the entry in the Bollywood with King Khan.
She said in an interview,
“I’m in a happy space today, very content physically, emotionally and mentally. I’m living every moment, unlike my modelling days when I would take certain things for granted. I want to make the most of every opportunity.”

After participating in Miss India pageant and becoming a model, she married model-choreographer Marc Robinson in 2002 but parted ways after ten years. She has three kids with him.
“It all happened very quickly, and I disappeared into another life. I was only 19 and in love, it felt like the right thing to do at the time. I’ve never tried to over-think a situation or fight what life has in store. I’ve always followed my heart. I got married and had three babies — it was a part of my life’s journey,”
She added, “I am a believer in love. My marriage may have ended, but that hasn’t turned me into a cynic. Right now I’m completely focussed on my work, but I’m pretty sure that love will definitely find me again.”
Well, it’s a well-known fact that in Bollywood, the shelf-life of the actresses are limited to their “young age” and their single status. So, when the stir of Waluscha’s age and relationship status surged in media, SRK came out in public to support his actress,
“It’s very old-fashioned that we get stuck on the age of the actors. What you have to understand is apart from the commercial aspect, an actor should be appropriate for the character as well. And Waluscha is perfect for the role,”
Well said, Shahrukh!
Sadly, the Bollywood inhabits so many stereotypes especially for actresses that, they are more often than not, trapped and restricted to boundaries of age, marital status, body image, etc.
But, women like Waluscha are breaking these conventional idea systems and proving that talent and passion for work know no bars.
Way to go girl!
