NEWS TODAY: AAP Member Soni Sori Attacked With Acid-Like Chemical

Tribal activist and Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader Soni Sori was attacked by three unidentified men in Chhattisgarh’s Maoist-hit Dantewada district. They threw acid-like chemical on her face last night.
Soni was heading towards Geedam area from Jagdalpur along with two more people when the culprits appeared on a motorcycle and attacked her.
The other two people quickly rushed her to a nearby hospital and informed the police.
Thankfully, Soni is only suffering from a burning sensation. One official said, “According to doctors the alleged liquid seemed to be grease diluted with the chemical. The woman (Sori) was further shifted to Jagdalpur hospital and kept under observation as she has complained of burning sensation in her face.”
The accused are on a run.
