Boy Writes Letter To Amazon India Regarding A Lightsaber, Receives The BEST Reply

7-year-old Rudra Joshi from Delhi is currently the luckiest guy in the world. Like the world, he is a fan of Star Wars. And so, he requested his parents to buy him a Lightsaber (after The Force Awakens hit theatres last year).

However, he was asked to ‘save’ for it. This is totally #ParentingDoneRight.

His mother Banani Joshi told BuzzFeed, “It was so enthralling for him that he started nagging me to get one for him from the first day itself. I told him that if he wanted one he would have to save up for it. He asked me how much I told him to save at least Rs. 1000. I forgot about it immediately, but he didn’t.”

Soon after this, Rudra began collecting coins from his parents and grandparents. And once he managed to save the exact amount, he persuaded his mother to place the order. Banani then encouraged him to write a letter to Amazon asking if they could accept the collected coins.

Banani said, “About a week later, I got a call from Amazon. They told me that they would like to gift Rudra the saber. I tried to persuade them that I’d like to pay for it but they really wanted to send it to him as a gift.”

What’s more adorable is Amazon’s team’s ‘note from Yoda’ and some Yoda-y blessings that they sent along. What a kick-ass gift!

A spokesperson for Amazon India told BuzzFeed, “We were touched by the letter and got to work on how we could fulfil Rudra’s wish. Over the next couple of days we built him a Kylo Ren mask, a piggybank for the coins, and a picture of the customer service team. We bundled all of these and shipped it to our fulfilment team in New Delhi along with of course a lightsaber.”

Banani also shared the pictures on her Facebook timeline with a caption that says: “Rudra was thrilled to get his lightsaber and was made to feel very special indeed. I am glad that he learnt prudence, saving and the value of money. I just hope he doesn’t start saving for an iPad now.”

We envy you, Rudra.
