There are a lot of paid leaves we get in our offices, and we take absolute advantage of them! Heck, why shouldn’t we? It’s our right, nah?
Tatahir Fatima doesn’t think so. This head teacher of a Govt. Primary Urdu School in Bihar, didn’t even take leave on the day of her wedding.
She teaches at the Lashkaripur village under the Lahladpur block of Saran district. The bride made sure to give a lecture on both the days: the day of her ‘nikah’ and ‘bidai’.
“I didn’t like the idea of taking a long leave for my marriage as my priority has been to teach my students,” she told TOI.
The school has four teachers and about 145 students.
With a total of 3 classrooms, students from Class 1 to 5 study here.
Well, what can we say except, you taught us all a lesson, Fatima!
