You run into entrepreneurs all the time but have you ever conversed with a 17-year-old businesswoman? Well, we have. And we can say that we were enthralled by her passion filled voice as she narrated the story of her fashion business.

Shreya Jain is the purveyor of everything related to fashion, whether it is cute and trendy dresses, shimmering earrings or high heels.

Read what she has to say!

What is your mindset when you do the business?

I’d like to put it out there that the ambition to do business runs in my family’s blood and I am no exception. My father owns a tyre business, and I have absolutely no intention of ever being a part of it. As 12th boards neared, I knew I had to do something. Something no one had ever done in my family! Thus, I decided to start a business, not to amass wealth but to dispense my fashion knowledge to the masses.

Why is being a fashion entrepreneur so important to you?

Clothes fascinate me. Dressing up could be counted as one of my hobbies. I’d like to be a fashion stylist when I grow up. It’s important to me because I love the process of picking out an outfit that fits the occasion and my mood. People might blow me off, thinking: “Oh, picking outfits? Hah. So inconsequential.” To me, it is important. Fashion is my life, and I am very proud to say that.

Fashion is a very tough field. How do you plan to evolve it?

It is a well-known fact that something different attracts people. Thus, I want to produce new and different things. I want to design not only my but also other people’s clothes. Of course, different does not mean wearing an outfit made entirely of meat. Hey, Lady Gaga, I am kind of throwing some shade at you.

But in all seriousness, I want to be creative while designing and my innovations will probably help fashion evolve.

Tell us your story of initiating the business from the start?

I named my brand BeYoutiful. It was amid 12th boards; I was doing everything but studying. I received my first order and earned Rs. 1000 from it. This money was straight away shown to my parents. They were ecstatic. I felt self-made, even if it was just thousand rupees. After that, three to four orders a day was a normal thing and six to seven hours were spent doing the business only. My parents were slightly worried at the fact that I was not studying, but I was just so into it. My brand is now quite established in the span of just four to five months since it aspires to provide a reasonable price, impressive quality and the X Factor. I also pride at the fact that I have received orders from outside Jaipur.

I travelled this path on my own but the support from my whole family never died down in the background, and I hope to God that it never does.

What do you wish to pursue in college?

That’s where it gets interesting. I will acquire a degree in BA just for the sake of having a degree to my name. My whole focus will be on fashion but even then, studying meticulously and with discipline will be a priority. I choose not to pursue anything fashion-related in college because I cannot guarantee its success. Obviously, after college ends, I will do something fashion-related. I am still very inexperienced in this field so basing everything off of it could prove to be a mistake. A degree in hand can be a brilliant option if all hell breaks loose.

Where can we find what you are offering to the world?

On Facebook. My page name is . You can message me if you have any queries.

All I can say is that I have been a recent customer of Shreya’s, and her packages are nothing but God sent, with not only your product coming intact but it also comes with little notes which have something positive written on them. It is a treat for the eyes.

I am targeting all my JWB girls to try her products. I know you all love one-pieces and hefty earrings that make you look beautiful than you already are.

Oh, the buttering. Bazinga! (I am kidding) I love you all!

News Flash- Shreya will be donating some amount of money she makes from every product to an NGO. She is, however, looking for NGO’s all over that are genuine and rooted to the cause of spreading happiness to the unprivileged.

We loved talking to Shreya and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Fashion is the key to beauty sometimes, and this girl has a tight grip on it!
