5 Women & 1 Man Who Impressed Us With Their Fashion Statement On JLF Day 1

From Scandinavian tendencies to vintage style and mixing the edgy goth with elegant Indian florals, we witnessed it all on the Day 1 of Jaipur Literature Festival 2016. This blog will make you meet five impressive women (and a man!) we bumped into while attending literature sessions.

  1. Who knew you could join up a pair of hot-pants with a kurta? This woman. Moreover, she is a game at combining this odd-style with a beautiful Firan jacket! I think the definition of girl-next-door is about to get changed.
  2. With all the greys and blacks put together in exotic textiles, you can never go wrong. This lady with a pixie-cut definitely understands what power dressing at a literature festival is.
  3. And if you thought bed-time pyjamas should stay indoors, think again. The girl-in-yellow-shirt told us how much she loves showing off her printed leggings. If that’s too casual for you, the boots are your savior.
  4. Another great way in which you can don those printed leggings is by pairing them with a khadi dhoti-kurta. With that style, she should be sailing the coast of Ibiza or dining along the Greek Isles. While reading a book, of course. After posing for us, she very sweetly said, “In case I get lost in this new city, I should find myself on your blog by today evening!”
  5. She is my favorite. You ask, why? I’ve always wanted to combine Indian styling with goth, however, I was too scared to walk down the streets wearing this combination. This pretty woman has made it easy for me. Thank you!
  6. And finally, this man! What we LOVE is his confidence to carry those rainbow pants with so much confidence. Hats off to you, Mister. Oops, by the way, nice hat!

JWB will be searching for more fashionistas on Day 2! Style up because you never know!
