As Promised, City’s Swati Ubroi Introduced Rajasthan Khadi In Wedding Couture

Rajasthan is celebrating its chilly nights with showcasing handloom collections of designers like Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Urvashi Kaur, and many others.
Let us tell you what caught our attention from the fashion runway last night. The show began with city-based Designer Swati Ubroi, who’s known for making peppy bridal couture. This season, the lady has taken an unexpected turn by toning down her neons to pastels and matt shades.
Using 100% handmade Rajasthan Khadi, the designer showcased wedding couture inspired by state’s gypsies. For example, bringing in dyes & peplums.
But to be honest, more than anything, it were the interesting blouses in women’s wear,
…and floral turbans for men that caught my attention.
Back in 2015, Swati revealed to JWB how she was planning to re-invent khadi in bridal wear. Swati, my girl, you have done a commendable job!
