As city girls we have predetermined notions about women living in rural areas. On the occasion of International Day of Rural Women, Jaipur Women Blog visited MGD Girls’ School to change the perception we have about rural women in India. We tend to think they are conservative, unhygienic and even weaker than the urban stylish women.
Portraits of traditional Rajasthani Village women were hanging on the walls with popping words that are basically predefined opinions about them. The girls were asked to jumble up these letters to form a positive quality or strength of rural women!
In a nutshell, this activity is about how assumptions can jumble up to form “PIOUS”!
