Did You Try These Three Uber Cool Instagram Features?

Just when the world is all tensed and chaotic adapting to political and financial changes, Instagram with its major update to Instagram Stories will surely brighten and lighten your day!
Instagram just announced three brand-new features which are the biggest update to Instagram’s Snapchat-like platform since it was launched in August.
The first of these cool features is @ mentions, which helps you introduce a new social element to your Stories. This feature will enable you to tag a friend in a story in the same way that you tag them in an Instagram caption, by adding their username to a photo or video. Isn’t that cool? And, the person you tag will get a direct message letting them know.
Second of these newly introduced features is links, which is similar to Snapchat Discover. The point of difference being that the fun of linking to stories and articles won’t be for brands alone. Beyoncé could link to a new song, for example, while Taylor Swift could share a link to an article she finds interesting. But the links won’t be available to most of us as of now. Instagram says that it’ll have a trial period when only verified users, like Beyoncé and T.Swift, can access them.
Also, did you notice Boomerangs, though not completely new, are available to be used within Stories? Instead of taking the pain to import GIF-like loops from your camera roll, now you can easily create them within Instagram Stories. Wondering how’s that possible?
Well, you to create a boomerang, you’ll just have to slide your finger to the right to toggle from normal camera mode to boomerang mode, and it’s done!
No matter how similar they might sound to Snapchat, Boomerangs, links, and mentions all provide a little edge to Instagram Stories and make them more communicative and interesting. For all those who have doubts, let us tell you that the two can happily coexist.
