What is the main purpose of any trip? For some, it maybe to explore the place like our Lady Boss Ana and Sir, for some, it maybe to explore their fashionable and stylish side. But for people like me, a trip means no diet and unlimited food.

I would also like to add here that all of us are binge-eaters. Don’t believe me? Read on and you will know what I am talking about.
So, after you have re-lived ‘s experience with my BFF blogger Komal, let me give you the taste of the authentic delicacies of Rajasthan at Vivaana.
As we reached the hotel, we were welcomed by Lime Water shots which refreshed us to our very souls.
And, we must’ve just entered our rooms, and there it waited, chilled buttermilk for us. I can’t say how it tasted, well, because, Lady Boss liked it so much that she drank mine, too.
The Lunch Saga
As we took our seats in Vivaana’s restaurant, we were served Tomato Soup.
“It tastes something like Maggi. Ummmmmm.. love it,” exclaimed Komal.
And, then the main course! *drooling*
While serving us, Pithaur ki Sabzi, the courteous waiter explained that it’s a traditional Rajasthani dish.
“It’s made up of besan (gram flour) and cooked in a spicy gravy.”
My eyes and ears lit up on the mention of spicy. But, I could not touch it, because, Photography! *rolling my eyes*
Accompanying the Pithaur ki Sabzi was Shahi Paneer, Chole Masala, Aloo Petha and Laal Maas.
As soon as Pallav gave us a thumbs up, we literally attacked the food.
Komal, the hardcore non-vegetarian dug into the Laal Maas and rice.
“It’s so perfectly cooked,” mumbled Komal with a mouthful of the mutton and Ana just shook her head without looking up from the plate.
But, the standout dish was this surprising Aloo Petha, and Sir, agreed, too.
“It has a smoky flavor to it which just enhances the taste,” Sir commented, like a connoisseur.
And, because Pallav had tortured us much, Lady Ana looked upset with him.
And, the dessert, brownie with ice cream came in cute little Cutting Chai glasses.
What happens when you eat too much? You wanna sleep, right?

And, that’s what I did while the other girls went for a fashion shoot. *evil laugh*
The Chronicles of Dinner
Candlelight dinner while gazing at the stars. Perfect for a date, isn’t it? We, too, were on a dinner date with our bosses. (I know, our job is cool)
The lavish buffet that tingled our taste buds and home-cooked style Bajre ki Roti with Gawar Fali ka Saag and Lesua Chutney reminding us of our Nani- Dadi, gave us the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional.
While, Ana stuffed her plate with Spaghetti and Sautéed Vegetables, Pallav and I settled for Daal Makhani and Kadhai Paneer.
“Sir, you should definitely try Daal and Matar Pulao,” I insisted and got a bowl full of it for him.
“This is too much, I can’t eat the whole thing,” Sir passed some onto Komal.
But, guess what? I caught him getting a second helping of it, and gave him a sly grin, “Told you, sir, it can never be too much.”
Interestingly, Komal was enjoying Papad Mangori and Bajre ki Roti more than the Butter Chicken.
“Komal, are you okay?” I teased.
“Yeah, though, butter chicken is yummy, I seldom get a chance to try out the authentic Rajasthani food. I am loving it,” confessed Komal.
Though my heart said, “Time for some sweets,” my tummy yelled out a big, NO!
My poor heart had to suffice by looking at Pallav and Komal savoring the deliciously looking Fruit Cream and Coconut Barfi.
After giving a treat to our taste buds, Komal gave our ears a grand party. Having a singer friend and colleague has its own benefits, you know!
Adventures of Breakfast
Pallav went healthy for the breakfast and decorated his plate with fruits and some orange juice, Komal explored the lanes of bakeries, and I settled for everything fried. *embarrassed*
I had stuffed my plate with Bread Pakoras, Hash Potatoes, and vegetable upma, and Komal went all sweet with Muffins, Pancakes, and Waffles with Chocolate Sauce.
“Aloo Paranthas are to die for,” claimed Pallav.
“We thought you were keeping it light, today? Ehh, Pallav-iii?” nudged Komal.
“Koi naa, now we’ll burn our calories in the pool,” I said.
Two and a half hours in the pool, and we were hungry again. LOL!
The Lunch Saga Continues…
We were already heart full with the hospitality of Vivaana Culture Hotel, and before bidding goodbye, they didn’t forget to fill our tummies with more food.
Our menu for the day included Kadhi Pakodi, Karela Masaledar, Matar Paneer, and Hakka Noodles.
And, while Sir was having some intense discussion with Pooja Gupta from Vivaana, here I was:
Remembering the time when Dr. Sudhir was engaged in a serious discussion. Meanwhile our notorious blogger was upto this #VivaanaCultureHotel #Weekends #WeekendGetaway
*disadvantages of having a photographer on trip*
We said goodbye to Vivaana Culture hotel with a happy heart and bloated tummies and promised to visit again soon.
P.S.: Our car weight was measured on a toll booth. It came out to be 70kgs more than when we were going to Vivaana Culture Hotel. *a moment on the lips, forever on the…”
