- JWB Post
- August 1, 2016
Soon, Instagram will introduce a safety feature that shall allow users to ban some select phrases or emoji’s from their comments. Also, they can also opt to not allow any comments on their posts.
And, according to the sources, some high-profile users have already been given access to the feature and will be launched for everyone, soon enough.
Nicky Jackson Colaco, Instagram Public Policy Chief, stated, “Our goal is to make Instagram a friendly, fun and, most importantly, safe place for self-expression.”
“We have slowly begun to offer accounts with high volume comment threads the option to moderate their comment experience. As we learn, we look forward to improving the comment experience for our broader community,” she explained.
Well, it’s a great start towards curbing harassment and trolling on the social networking sites.
