Mocked By Strangers, This Girl Sent Love In Her Open Letter To Them

A Cornwall-native, Harriet Rae, wrote an open message to the girls who mocked her for her outfits and the Internet absolutely loved it.

When the young Harriet went shopping to a UK-based beauty store, she noticed that two employees were making fun of her clothes. She also heard their rude comments about her shorts. However, she didn’t lose temper or got angry.

“You spoke loud enough for most people to hear. It’s obviously not the first time you’ve had a giggle and a made comments about another girl.”

Instead, she wrote a Facebook post in which she addressed the issue and tackled the whole situation with kindness and love.

“So in response to your comments, I send back some love! If you did your own hair and make up for work today, you are both very talented. I could never get my winged liner or my ponytail that perfect!” she wrote

Here’s her entire post:

Harriet’s post has been shared over 50K times and also gained the attention of the store’s manager who apologized to her. And, Harriet emphasized that she only wants to spread the message of kindness and has no wish to hurt the employees.

Harriet wrote:

“I have spoken to the lovely people at Superdrug Head Office…who apologised for what happened in the Truro Store on Saturday. I re-enforced that the intended message of the post was to spread kindness and positivity, not embarrassment or hurt. They understood and accepted that I didn’t want to give a description of the people or my location in the store when it happened.”

Remember: “Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”~~Mother Teresa
