Soha Ali Khan Shut The Sexist Trolls Like A Boss
- JWB Post
- June 24, 2016
When the RBI Governor, Raghuram Rajan announced that he will leave his post after his tenure ends in September, most of the Indians knew that India is losing a gem.
His announcement spread like fire and in no time, the social networking sites were bombarded with this sad news and millions of people shared their thoughts and opinions and were aggrieved on Raghuram’s exit.
One amongst many supporters was the Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan, who shared her opinion through this tweet.
Profound loss for India that @RBIGov has been forced to exit. He can only help those who want to help themselves. Shame.
— soha ali khan (@sakpataudi)
Just another Raghuram Rajan’s patron, expressing her views on his exit. Right?
Well, wrong!
After all, she is not just another person. She is an actress who has to be just dumb.
Nope! I am not saying this. As soon as Soha Ali Khan tweeted about the RBI Governor, she started getting trolled. Like THIS!
Dear @sakpataudi, what does the @RBIGov do? What does RBI do?
— Thought Gun (@ShootinThoughts)
.@sakpataudi Congrats Ma’am, Atlast you found the mantra for “HOW TO BE IN NEWS?” 😂😂
— PhD in Bak*****! (@Atheist_Krishna)
@jspandey_ @sakpataudi @RBIGov many alias in bollywood talk write without thinking at least alia we can believe but these copycats funny
— nalini purohit (@NaliniPurohit)
Admit that u didn’t even knew full form of RBI, but hatred made u economist in a single day😎 @sakpataudi https://t.co/frx6DuMzO9
— Majestic Sandeep (@samgold21)
@sakpataudi @RBIGov Why do you have to poke your long nose into everything? Concentrate on your area of expertise.
— Rajesh Kumar Singh (@neelnabh)
Seriously?
Soha Ali Khan chose to keep mum for a few days, but, when the hate comments and trolls didn’t stop, Soha decided to seal their mouths by punching this tweet on their faces.
LSE doesn’t stand for the London School of Entertainment and “dumb actresses” are citizens with valid opinions on economic policy
— soha ali khan (@sakpataudi)
How much did this burn, troll-ers?
Well done, Soha!
Here, I would like to point out that it doesn’t matter if any actress or any girl has studied in LSE, Oxford, IIT, IIM or any other, not so ‘prestigious’ colleges. If a woman has an opinion, she can share it whenever and wherever. Right to Freedom of Speech remember?
Now, of course, you’ll ( Read: Troll-ers) remind me that even you are exercising your Freedom of speech. But, the freedom of speech doesn’t give you the authority to demean and devalue other people.
However, the sad reality that surfaces from this trolling is that most people believe that Bollywood actresses are just beauty without brains who should just look pretty in movies and keep shut on all the other matters.
Isn’t it unfortunate that we only like our women to be decked up and stand like a trophy behind our men with no mind, no opinions, and no voice of their own? #nuffsaid
Think about it!
