The market of dating is on boom like never before. Apps like Tinder, TrulyMadly, Hitch, and so many others have made finding ‘mates to date’ a scrolling game. The following video highlights perfectly, the difference between safety measures undertaken by women and men when going on a blind date.
This video of YouTube comedy channel Unsolicited Project named “How Women Get Ready for First Dates” shows exactly how a girl prepares for a blind date. It depicts a girl’s insecurity, risks involved, and how she plans for contingencies if her date turns out to be a hoax or the like.
The video is a satirical take on how much a girl has to plan to ensure her safety before her first date while the boy just puts on a jacket and heads out.
In the video, the girl going on the date is shown instructing her friend that she would send her location every half an hour and if she goes missing what her friend should do. “Just remember exactly what I’m wearing right now just in case I go missing,” She looks through her purse and ensures she has all essential items like rape whistle, switch blade and, of course, pepper spray.
Only if the world became a safe place for women too, they would enjoy such and other precious moments of their lives without any strain or tension regarding their safety & security. Agree?
