Why This Picture Of Daughter Reminded Her Mom Of A Sad Event

Stacey Wehrman Feeley took a picture of her little girl playing around to send to her husband. Stacey immediately realized that her girl was practicing a lockdown drill taught in preschool.
The schools, these days, are teaching kids how to protect themselves if a potential attacker with a gun attacks them. Considering the recent unfortunate shootings (in Paris, Orlando, etc. ), it is indeed a sensible thing to do.
However, for Stacey, it was heartbreaking.
She then posted this picture on Facebook with a note mentioning –
“…Politicians – take a look. This is your child, your children, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren and future generations to come. They will live their lives and grow up in this world based on your decisions. They are barely , and they will hide in bathroom stalls standing on top of toilet seats. I do not know what will be harder for them? Trying to remain quiet for an extended amount of time or trying to keep their balance without letting a foot slip below the stall door?…”
