45 Indian Entrepreneurs Make It To The Forbes’ Annual 30 Under 30 List. Kudos!

Every year, Forbes announces its ’30 Under 30′ list of young entrepreneurs who surprise the world with their ingenuity and excellence. This year, which also happens to be the fifth in running, the business magazine named “600 of the brightest young entrepreneurs, breakout talents, and change agents in 20 different sectors”. And out of these 600, 45 Indian-born businessmen and women have made their way to the top, shining like stars across segments like Finance, Consumer Tech, Venture Capital, Media, Science, and Manufacturing, to name a few.

Out of the 45, the five names you NEED to know are:

FINANCE

  1. Nila Das, 27

After working as a mortgage trader at RBC, Nila is now designated as the Vice-President of Citigroup. She runs the bank’s secondary trading in agency collateralized mortgage obligations, overseeing billions of dollars in volume each day.

  1. Divya Nettimi, 29

Divya is an Investment Analyst at Viking Global Investors. Prior to this, she worked at Goldman Sachs and also co-managed Harvard Business School’s Alpha Fund while doing her MBA.

CONSUMER TECH

  1. Karishma Shah, 25

Karishma is a Rapid Evaluation Program Manager at Google(X) and is the youngest hire at Alphabet.

HOLLYWOOD & ENTERTAINMENT

  1. Lilly Singh, 27

Comedian-writer Lilly Singh is a well-known name in the Hollywood circuit. Famously known as ‘Superwoman’, she is both a rapper and a stand-up comedian.

RETAIL & E-COMMERCE

  1. Nisha Chittal, 27

Manager of Social Media & Community, MSNBC, she was instrumental in the relaunch of the website.
