Physical appearance has nothing to do with one’s beauty. To spread this wonderful message, the city of Bhubaneswar conducted the first ever beauty contest for the visually impaired women.
About 56 girls from Orissa took part in the competition without considering their limitation a ‘limitation’. The event was jointly organised by Bhubaneswar-based Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH), along with the Ministry of Labour & Employment, DGE and National Association for the Blind (NAB), Odisha State Branch.
Ms. Jhumri Biswal was selected Miss Odisha. Congratulations, girl!!
The four shortlisted girls (winner and the runner-ups) will visit Mumbai along with 30 other participants from other states. The national finale is going to happen in January 2017. *Excited*
