What is it like to be a female police officer? Definitely, it is extremely challenging work wise.
After all, you are supposed to chase the criminals, counsel the victims, and arrest horrendous law offenders. At that, being a woman, one has to face the common sexist assumptions made by male officers.
Humans of New York published the story of a female officer from Argentina who shared her plight in one line saying, “Even if we have equal rank, a man always tries to take charge of the situation.”
Sigh. Chauvinism is everywhere, irrespective of which side of the border you are standing. Women, again, irrespective of the job-type, are considered less competent than the men. Sadly, even after they do something outstanding to prove their worthiness.
