Dear Salman, Comparing Yourself To A Rape Victim Is Being “Inhuman”

Damn Salman! Back at it again with the controversies. This time, he’s managed to offend rape victims.
In a recent interview, while promoting his movie Sultan, the actor compared his wrestling drama condition to that of a raped woman. The following remark caused an outrage over Twitter.
“While shooting, during those six hours, there’d be so much of lifting and thrusting on the ground involved. That was tough for me because if I was lifting, I’d have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop.”
Obviously, twitteratis took to expressing their outrage. Result: #InsensitiveSalman and #SalmanMisquoted.
Know who else can’t walk straight? Animals who’ve been shot & people who’ve been run over by cars

Must’ve been something Salman was wearing. Pretty sure he was asking for it.

Its terribly awful we live in a country where a casual rape remark gets more coverage than the act itself! 😶 @luvsalimkhan

While the Twitter spat followed a series of responses, this particular “fan” had something very stupid to say.
is a innocent guy, plzzzzz try 2understand, what he want 2 say. His cmnt on “Raped woman” is just his feeling.

This definitely does not justify Salman’s words. Only a rape victim would understand their own situation. Suzette Jordan, a rape survivor, spoke up about her experience a few years ago.
“I was consumed with fright and rage. It’s a terrible feeling — like you’re alive, but somebody has buried you in a coffin. Even after he raped me, he beat me as if there were an age-old vendetta between us. But we didn’t know each other at all. He kept asking his friends to rape me. He had the power. And that made him feel good about himself,” she said.
My question to Salman Khan is, does this describe how you felt? How would you know what a rape victim feels like? Have you been through all the pain they’ve faced?
To add more spice to this ridiculous situation, father, and director Salim Khan took to Twitter to apologize for his son’s stupid remarks yet again. Here’s what the 80-year-old veteran film writer wrote:
Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intention was not wrong.
— Salim Khan (@luvsalimkhan)
Nevertheless I apologise on behalf of his family his fans & his friends. Forgiveness is to pardon the unpardonable or it is no virtue at all
— Salim Khan (@luvsalimkhan)
So, the son makes the mistakes, and the dad picks up the pieces. If I’m not wrong, Salim Khan’s behavior is no different than that of Brock Turner’s father. If you’re not aware, Brock Turner was a student at Stanford, who was accused and convicted of sexually abusing an unconscious woman behind a dumpster. His father defended him by saying that his punishable act was just ‘20 minutes of action‘.
Anywho, as an influential personality, Salman Khan should ponder over his words and apologize personally for offending a group that has already been through a lot.
