Girl Cried Out, ‘Papa’, While Being Gangraped In BulandShahr

On Friday, July 29, a 35-year old Noida woman and her teenage daughter were gang-raped by a group of robbers near Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh.
The father of the girl survivor broke down in front of the media and told them that his “daughter cried out, “Papa” when the rapists tried to catch her.” “I won’t be able to look my daughter in the eye,” moaned the father.
He has demanded an exemplary punishment for the rapists and has warned the police that he would commit suicide, if, within three months, the investigation is not completed. He has confirmed that the accused arrested so far were amongst the rapists. However, he also claimed that some locals were involved in the heinous crime, as well.
He explained that when their car broke down, he had heard one of them shouting, “Aslam, you wait! We are getting the tractor.”
The father also confessed how his family has also lost a roof on their head after this incident as he can’t go back to their current home because of the shame and the trauma they would have to face.
“I have been staying at a friend’s place since the day of the crime. Now, even he wants me to move out. We will have to change our house and also my daughter’s school,” he said.
Shouldn’t we all feel ashamed of the fact that rather than giving a helping hand to a grief-stricken person or the sufferer, we humiliate them, shame them and add to their misery?
Isn’t there something seriously wrong with our society, with all of us?
Think about it!
