Apparently, India has got its first unisex machine! Who are we kidding? Unisex washing machine?
Lloyd Home Appliances’ latest ad says their new model of washing machines is “India’s First Unisex Washing Machines”. It even has a (brainless) tagline that says – ‘Washing clothes is not just women’s department’.
Though Lloyd’s intentions may have be pure but promoting your product saying that ‘now even men can wash clothes easily’ is utterly sexist. This only means, till now washing clothes – first, was a tough job that poor men were not able to handle it, and second, was only meant for women.
Duh.
See how people are reacting to it:
Unisex washing machine? Under what charges I’d be booked for using female washing machine all those year?
