Kangana Can Marry More Than Once, And That’s A-Okay!

Kangana Ranaut graced the ramp as the showstopper for her designer friend Manav Gangwani in a stunning bridal lehenga at the India Couture Week 2016.
Of course, her appearance is enough to gather the attention of millions, but, she made it to the headlines, with her candid confession on her marriage.
After the show, while interacting with the media, Kangana said, “Manav and I were talking about my wedding. I told him for the first wedding, for sure I will wear his design.”
When a reporter further probed that if she was certain, that she would have more than one wedding, Kangana replied, “Why not? If one can happen, many more can happen!”
Her comment has not been well-received by many and has been criticized on social media.
However, I think people have misinterpreted Ranaut’s comment. I believe that her remark was a gentle reminder that the society should be open to the idea of re-marriage and not force people to stay in a bad marriage just for the sake of family’s honor. I am, too, an ardent believer of the institution of marriage and happily-ever-afters. But, every marriage is not a happily ever after. If a person is not happy or is being abused in any way then staying in it is not fair for anyone.
