Raveena Tandon To JWB: “I have a Devi inside me, what about you?”

  • JWB Post

Did you read about the FLO Delhi event where Princess Diya Kumari, actress Raveena Tandon, and Entrepreneur Kalyani Saha Chawla discussed how women in business could impact the economy of our country?

The event marked the launch of ‘Dyuti,’ a designer silver jewelry brand, that allows homemakers to start working from home. Founder of Dyuti, Bela Badhalia, told the audience that Dyuti literally means brightness within and is also a synonym for Goddess Lakshmi.

Excited (and keeping the topic of discussion in mind), JWB popped a question to the panelists asking who they think is the Dyuti in their lives!

To which, Kalyani replied, “It has to be my mom. My mother babysat my daughter, Tahira Tara, for ten long years while I was busy fixing my life after the divorce. I was penniless and was desperate to start earning for myself and my daughter. Without her, I wouldn’t be what I am today.”

Princess Diya Kumari had a beautiful thing to say, as well, “Both my mother and my small daughter are my Dyutis. One inspires me to be like her by treading on the path of compassion, the other encourages me to create wonderful opportunities for the future generation.”

When Raveena Tandon picked the mic to answer, we knew we were going to hear something kickass, “I am my Dyuti. I believe, every woman has a Shakti within her. I have a Devi inside me. It’s up to you which avatar you want to manifest – Kaali, Durga, Chandika or Lakshmi. Believe in that power and live a life undefeated by anything. No matter what, always remind yourself that this Devi inside you is going to overcome the fear and darkness clouding you. Make sure you never say ‘die.’ Okay?”

Okay, Ms. Tandon! We, at JWB, abide by every word that she said. We truly believe that every human being is powerful than the problem he is facing. Nothing can defeat us if we have a strong willpower. Self-doubt is our biggest enemy while self-love and self-respect, the best cure.
