While the Indians are totally submerged in making this Diwali extraordinary, Singapore metro has surprised its passengers with the festive spirit.
Singapore’s Land Transport Authority in association with the LISHA (Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association) launched a Diwali-themed train in the country to join in on the festival celebration this year.
Inaugurated by Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan on October 15, the train is all set to run on the North East Line (NEL) till mid-November.
Vibrant and colorful, this special train seems like a treat for the citizens of Singapore, where about 10 percent of the population belong to India.
And not just the train interiors, even the stations are adorned with intricate designs of rangolis, diyas, peacocks, and lotuses.
It is so great to witness this beautiful exchange of cultures!
