VIDEO: So This Is What Leads To Unhealthy Relationships!

Just because emotional abuse isn’t as perceptible as physical abuse, does not mean that it does not exist. Many a time, it happens so that people spend the whole of their lives being emotionally abused, however, not realizing the same.
Here’s a short film by Buzzfeed titled ‘Unhealthy relationships’ that subtly yet powerfully dives into the issue through two couples – one hetero and the other lesbian.
The cast members Ali Vingiano and Brittany Ashley, who also clone as the writers of the film, might seem familiar faces. Remember the short film on abortion that we shared some time back? Yep, they were in that too.
Turns out, Ali and Brittany “are really interested in tackling taboo or darker topics in honest, funny and accessible ways. We hadn’t seen emotional abuse honestly depicted much in TV or media, and we especially hadn’t seen a story showing it within a lesbian relationship. We wanted to show how hard it can be to realize you’re in an unhealthy relationship, and how abuse isn’t always physical,” says Ali Vingiano.
