What’s With This 97 Y.O. Yoga Instructor Teaching 8 Classes A Week?

Remember the 97-year-old yoga fanatic woman from Coimbatore that we were speaking of a few days ago?
Well, apparently, that woman has a clone in New York City and this clone has a Guinness world record to boast of.
Tao Porchon-Lynch is officially the oldest-yoga instructor that the world has. (She’s 97, btw. In case you were wondering.)
What’s interesting is the fact that even on the verge of completing a century she hasn’t given up on her yoga practice. Rather, she takes 8 classes a week.
Man! It must be something extraordinary to be her student!
“I hadn’t realized I was so old,” Tao said when questioned about her remarkable enthusiasm.
Allow me to tell you the fun part. At the age of 90, Tao swapped careers to become a ballroom dancer. (And I was being all nervous and gloomy about changing my career at the age of 20. Pfft!)
And she was so good at the dancing that she competed on America’s Got Talent in June’15. Then again, I guess she got bored of her career or something because she went on to write a book on the spiritual part of her existence. The book’s called Dancing Light, in case you were wondering.
She has achieved so many things in her 90s. I guess she’s the perfect exemplification of the saying It’s never too late!
Meanwhile, I’m also musing over the lame excuses we 20-year-olds give on not being able to do things. *Hides under the bed trying to disappear*
