9-Year-Old Reporter, Hilde Does It Again! Lands Herself A Book Deal

While regular 9-year-old girls spend their time watching cartoons and playing with dolls, Hilde Lysiak from Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania is the creator of her town’s only monthly newspaper. What? Here I am, still in university waiting to try my hand at journalism whereas, this 9-year-old child is already an established journalist!
Hilde’s story was already covered by JWB earlier, but this time, Hilde has paved her way to fame for another reason. She’s landed a four book deal with Scholastic Publications. The books will come under the mystery genre and will feature Hilde’s elder sister Izzy, and herself as the protagonists.
According to a press release issued by Scholastic, the first book Hilde Cracks The Case will come out in the fall of 2017.
“I want kids who read these books to love reporting like I do,” she said in the release.
I know, I am jealous of you but, Hilde, you do you, girl!
