Banning Triple Talaq Will Result Men In Murdering Their Wives, Says Muslim Law Board

Do you know why the disgusting practice of triple talaq needs to be continued? Yes, I am talking about the reason why men should be allowed to give divorce to their wives by just uttering the word talaq three times.
Which btw, they can also give over SMS, speed post, and phone. Now, if you are wondering that how someone can justify this practice than wait till you hear the wonderful theory put forward by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB).
Apparently, triple talaq should be continued because otherwise, men would start killing their wives if they don’t find any other way to get rid of them.
Yes, that is what the AIMPLB has stated in its recently-submitted affidavit in the Supreme Court. The affidavit is a counter attack made by the Board against the petitions that women have filed to ban the practice of triple talaq.
Currently, four petitions have been filed by Shayara Bano, Jaipur-based Afreen Rehman, West Bengal’s Ishrat Jahan and women’s rights organization Bhartiya Muslim Mahila Andolan (BMMA).
The very reason that these petitions have been filed is that in recent times, incidents of triple talaq have been increasing rapidly with many women given divorce by their husbands who have absolutely no accountability or responsibility towards them after saying talaq three times.
In its affidavit, the AIMPLB has also said that the right to give triple talaq is bestowed to men because men are better decision makers than women and don’t think impulsively. Now, if you are pissed off at this shitty argument then wait till you hear the next!
Men will start burning their wives alive or murdering them if triple talaq is banned. Yes, this was actually submitted to the Supreme Court, could you believe it?
The AIMPLB has also warned the apex court not to interfere in Islamic religious matters saying that it has no authority to do so.
All the folks of AIMPLB, you know what, I think that you are afraid. Afraid at the prospect of the SC banning one of the most commonly used weapons in your arsenal for silencing women. Scared about the fact that now men will have to be more accountable and not behave as they did in the medieval age.
In a way, these pathetic arguments in favor of triple talaq show that why the practice needs to be stopped at the earliest.
