Gifts Demanded During ‘Kalewa’ Shouldn’t Be Considered As Dowry, Allahabad Court Rules. Agreed?

Many families take dowry from the bride’s side in the name of gifts, in general. Dowry is an old-fashioned word, and not used anymore.
Apart from being old-fashioned, since it’s also a little illegal, it would be impossible to get away with dowry, if you know what I mean?!
However, parents sending gifts to their daughters after she’s married shouldn’t be considered a crime at all. So, when the Allahabad High Court ruled that gift articles demanded at the time of “Kalewa“, a wedding ceremony that takes place after weddings, doesn’t amount to dowry, it got me thinking.
