Dove’s New Ad Shows The Media Where Exactly To Look While Judging Female Athletes

Dear Media,

When you focus on an athlete’s looks, you don’t see her at all.

This is how Dove’s new Ad campaign called #MyBeautyMySay begins. Females athletes are subject to shrewd remarks from the society. She’s judged for her looks, her body and is very often told that she is “too pretty” to be an athlete.

Media has a huge role to play in shaping our ideologies, and if they continue misusing their voices, they will end up contributing to the sexist culture.

Dove took a brave step to point out the fault in the media, and we applaud them.
