Hello, people!
After a long break here I am with this fancy looking yet a super easy dessert recipe: One Pot Skillet Brownies.
Oh, stop drooling already!
Description:
The best thing about this recipe is bare minimum wash up!
All the ingredients go into one pot, which is whisked together with a whisk. All of which is baked in a skillet pan. These brownies can be stored in the skillet as well, as long as it is covered with a generous wrapping of aluminum foil and cling film before placing in the fridge. A super easy recipe even for those who don’t know how to cook this is a beginner’s level recipe.
Ingredients:
- Butter- 4tblsp
- Oil- ¼ cup
- Castor sugar- 1 cup
- Brown sugar- ¾ cup
- Eggs- 3 pcs
- Cocoa- ¾ cup
- Hot water- ¼ cup
- Whole wheat flour- ½ cup
- Baking powder- 1 tblsp
- Salted caramel sauce (optional)- ½ cup
- Chocolate 70% cocoa dark (chips)- ¼ cup
Method:
- In a heavy bottomed sauce pot melt the butter and oil over low heat. Add the sugars and let it caramelize for a min or two until bubbling. Take off heat once sugar has melted. Stir with a whisk to avoid any lumps.
- Add the cocoa powder and whisk well. Add the hot water a little at a time and stir continuously until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time whisking throughout.
- Add the flour and baking powder and stir until combined just combined.
- Grease and line a heavy bottomed skillet pan and pour half the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Add the salted caramel sauce and the chocolate chips, spread evenly. Pour over the half of the batter and spread well.
- Bake for 30-35 mins at 170 degree celsius.
- Served best warm with vanilla bean ice cream or a cup of cold milk.
