What do you and your daughter argue about? To understand just this, we conducted a new campaign ‘Short(s) Talk’ where we invited mother-daughter duos from Jaipur to participate. In association with and 94.3 My FM; the aim was to understand the generation gap between 2 generations of women and then later help them accept the changes rather than reacting and arguing about the difference.

40 years old Mother, Shruti Bhatnagar, & 16 years old daughter, Shubhangi, were finally selected as our winners among 6 duos. They were invited to Soma store select 3 styles for each other and later discuss whether they liked the choices made. And, of course, agree on compromise. At least, we hoped so! Here is a small excerpt from their ‘heated’ conversation:

Shubhi: Glad we have won, mom. Love Soma’s Collection of Frocks….OMG, I love it!

Shruti:  I knew you will love this section. How about this green frock I’ve picked for you? Try it!

Soma’s peaceful environment is about to turn into a roaring battlefield, as the daughter comes out with a mocking smile and the rippled nose of dissatisfaction from the Soma’s dressing room.

Shubhi: Mom, it’s too long. I am no way going to wear it ever.

Shruti:  It’s just an inch below your knee. It looks descent than other skirts in your wardrobe. Moreover, 60’s Mod fashion is back this year, and that’s a frock from the latest collection!

The Soma-branded hanger is about to turn into an arrow-bow weapon in Mom’s hands as she expresses her displeasure.

Shruti: oh, my eyes are hurting. (laughs) It is such a dazzling bright pink color. I would have preferred something in white for this season. Look at that Soma’s section at the corner, so many soothing pastel hues.

Shubhi: I see. This is revenge!
