This Couple’s Funny Instagram Account Is All About Their Life With Four Daughters

  • JWB Post

Simon Hooper and Clementine have got four beautiful daughters: 9-year-old, 6-year-old and 10-month-old twins.

Both the parents have their individual Instagram accounts where they report about their daily adventures with the kids.

Simon told The HuffPost, “I’m like a walking encyclopedia of baby product info. I used to use my brain to solve global corporate-wide problems. I now use it to calculate bulk buy discounts.”

He also told that he’s “a handy man, taxi driver, swimming instructor, tutor, chef, counselor, human climbing frame, bank, personal shopper and PA.” LOL.

He added, “In general my whole account is to show a realistic view of what parenting is like from a parent’s perspective. There is way too much sugar coating when it comes to parents, so I wanted to share what it’s really like and provide a bit of humor at the same time.”

Check out their pictures and see if you can relate to them!

Marnie's synapses have been firing on all cylinders recently & have generated a torrent of mind bending questions. Rather than babble & give half answers, we employed Cortana to answer stuff for us as frankly my brain ached when she asked things like: What's inside a black hole? Who invented the royal family? What is a smell? How many people in the world speak dutch (why?) & could dinosaurs ever come back? (Thank goodness for Laptops like this from @curryspcworld – it's faster than my creaking grey matter and the battery lasts longer than my attention span). I returned from getting a cup of tea to find her staring at Netflix having folded the laptop in half (I didn't even know it did that). Guess her thirst for knowledge was satisfied so on to Spong Bob. Who knows, I might actually get some real work done on this @dell, but it's unlikely. #ithoughtshedbrokenit #outtechedbya6yearold #thirstforknowledge #willdinosaursevercomeback #quickerthanmygreymatter #kidsquestions #fatherofdaughters #ad # dadlife #instadad

There used to be a time when Fridays nights meant going out drinking with friends and waking up with a hangover that that would require surgery to remove. However Marnie came home today with the dreaded bi-annual "There are nits / lice going around at school" letter, so our Friday nights are now spent carrying out small scale genocide on colonies of unwanted scalp intruders. @mother_of_daughters & I will now spend the rest of the evening quietly observing each other to see which one of us start scratching our heads first whilst mentally cursing all children everywhere. Awesome. #betteryoustartscratchingafterreadingthis #fridaynightarentwhattheyusedtobe #parenting #keepingitreal #nits #dotheyevenhaveapurpose #fatherofdaughters #dadlife #instadad

Should I get offended that when I'm in charge of dressing the girls, instead of being given free rein to 'get creative' and use my couture fashion eye to create a 'wow' outfit that will catch the eye and imagination, I walk into their room and find that all the clothes are laid out already. Granted I have a tendency to dress them as boys, and will invariably forget the importance of layers, and that spots and strips clash, and that socks are essential, and that a baby grow doesn't count as day wear, and that I dress them the same, i cant tell them apart for the rest if the day, but surely if you give me a chance, the law of averages will mean I'll get it right one day! #daddressing #twins #dontdressthemthesame #theylovechewingshoes #icandressachild #badly #fatherofdaughters #dadlife #instadad

Parents aren't actually allowed to get sick. Usually we're the ones scooping up piles of vomit, dabbing kids brows and dishing out calpol like it's soup at a homeless shelter. If parents do feel unwell, the whole system collapses under its own weight and things degenerate into something that ressembles a post apocalyptic world run by children. Robbing, looting, gang warfare and general anarchy are the order of the day. I'm also terrible at admitting when I'm not feeling well as I don't like being fussed over. it will also undoubtedly be interpreted as 'man flu' by the girls in my life (last time this happened, I actually ended up being diagnosed with blood poisoning and was admitted for 2 days). So here I am admitting I'm not 100% and @mother_of_daughters is looking after me. She's a saint. Sometimes the love of a good women is all you need. That, and calpol 6+. #itsnotalwaysmanfluyouknow #parentsarentallowedtogetsick #mencangetsicktoo # calpolontap #outofaction #parenting #sicknote #fatherofdaughters #instadad #dadlife

Why does bathtime always involve cramming as many family members into one of the smallest rooms in the house at the same time? I guess the eldest 2 like it as it's like a cheap version of the sea life centre. They get to watch these weird pink slippery things splash about and generally contort themselves out of these chairs while sucking the life out of some sponges. Clemmie and I are there just play life guards and crowd control. I should charge admission. Just avoid the dirty nappies at the door and the water EVERYWHERE. Actually, forget it – Health and safety would definitely shut us done. #waterstaysinthebathgirls #bathtime #sealifecentreathome #cheapentertainment #twins #mygirls #theyneverstayinthesechairs #fatherofdaughters #dadlife #instadad

If there was ever a chance to stick some fake moustaches on the twins it was today 👶🏼👨🏻👶🏼. But taking 4 kids out for lunch kind of leaves you with no hands free to get your phone out (other hand was holding a large glass of red wine obvs ). Well done to @peckham_mamma for hosting the perfect roast all in aid of @movember. So good to see all the crew @theyesmummum @dresslikeamum @__ladyland__ @susanfoynes @mitelf and thanks to @thewinebutleruk for supply the booze so us adults can zone out the kids 👶🏼👶🏼👧🏼👧🏼👊🏼🙌🏼🙉🙈 #Movember #redwineroast #kidswentferral #babysinmoustaches #chairtylunch
