Can You Guess Where You’ve Seen Aamir Khan’s Eldest Daughter In ‘Dangal’ Before?

Aamir Khan’s latest movie ‘Dangal’s trailer created excitement among the public as soon as it was launched.

With the subtitle “mhari chhoriyan chhoron se kam hai ke?” (Are my daughters any less than boys?), the movie showcases the real life story of the Phogat sisters and their father-cum-coach Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan).

Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Aamir’s eldest daughter, Geeta, in the film. Geeta Phogat, the eldest of all sisters, is the first Indian woman wrestler to have won gold in the Commonwealth Games, 55kg freestyle wrestling category. She is also the first Indian female wrestler to have qualified for the Olympics. While much has been said about Geeta, here’s a little sneak peek into the life of Fatima.

Fatima hails from the city of dreams, Mumbai. After completing her education from St. Xaviers School, she graduated from Mithibai College, Mumbai.

Think she’s a newbie in Bollywood?

Well, let me tell you she’s not.

Remember Kamal Hassan’s Daughter in ‘Chachi 420’? Yes, that was when Fatima had entered the Bollywood world. Apart from Chachi 420, she has also worked in movies like Bade Dilwala, One 2 Ka 4 and Akaash Vani.

We all love Aamir Khan’s work and Fatima’s no different. When she and her co-actor Sanya expressed their desire to work with him even after ‘Dangal’, Aamir Khan gave both of them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to intern under him for a year!

Aamir liked the idea of having interns so much that he has now made it a yearly practice of appointing two lucky youngsters who want to work with him. Thanks to Fatima and Sanya for beginning this practice!

Keeping her acting talent aside, Fatima is a brilliant dancer and photographer as well. Don’t believe me? Check out her Instagram!
